Now this is an awesome idea! What better way to train for the zombie apocalypse than by running around in a forest at night being chased by zombie actors and armed with a paintball gun?
Zombie Combat Zone is the brainchild of Ron McCall and he describes it as:
“A fight for your life through a ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE!!! Located on 57 acres of insanely creepy forest in south Langley, ZOMBIE COMBAT ZONE is North America’s most authentic Zombie scenario. Upon arrival you will undergo a crash course bootcamp including a briefing on the situation, weapons training, then time to suit up and head out into the zone. Your mission – locate and rescue a group of missing scientists and discover the cause of the outbreak and if possible…stop the plague.”
Armed only with a paintball gun and all the guts you can muster, Zombie Combat Zone will push you to the edge….and maybe over!
If you get 12 of your buddies involved, then it works out at a pretty reasonable $50 each.
The zombies are of course played by actors (unless Ron has a side job as an evil scientist who creates zombies in his lair) and there was a job posting put out around Vancouver looking for individuals to come and dress up as zombies at “Canada’s first and only zombie themed-paintball park” offering $13 per hour and working from Thursday to Saturday dusk til 1am.
Ron says “It’s like interactive dinner theatre except you gets to shoot the actors”.
